Oh, I must have a jeep/ford one then...poor scout, chevy engine, ford
transmission, jeep springs...its going to have an identity crisis pretty
soon.

With my old 196, 4.27 gears and 33's I used to use first to get me about
1/3 of the way across an intersection.  I could start up in 2nd OK, but
I figured it would be easier on the clutch to use 1st.  Now w/ the V8,
1st seems pointless on pavement. 8^)
