Wives and Beautiful Engines

The aliens commander decided Peter Ferris <peter.ferris@domain.elided> would
make a perfect specimen for dissection, and he yelled...

>The other day, I came home and noticed the notebooks neatly stacked and populated and divided! My wife did it - hoping I'd be motivated "to get that mess outta here!". And yes, all of the sub-dividers are in the proper places! I checked (while she watched!). ;-)

>Ain't marriage grand?

Don't know about that, but I'd certainly keep the one ya got! <grin>

To be fair to my wife, she wouldn't attempt something like that (organizing
my manuals) because she knows how anal I can be and she probably fears it
wouldn't get done *just* the way I wanted it.

On an entirely different subject:

Update from "analdom" (as John Stricker calls it)... My 392 rebuild is 95%
finished and just about ready to swap for my 345. The engine looks *so*
damn nice that I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't bother installing and hiding
it in my truck after all. Maybe I should weld up a nice frame type stand
for it and bring it down to the 3rd Annual IH Western Regionals in Tulare
for display with all the antique farm equipment. I mean this thing is
*beautiful*! That glossy blood red IH paint color and gloss black
accessories look great. So I can see it better in the future, I painted
the timing mark on the harmonic balancer and the timing marks on the timing
gear cover with bright yellow model paint. I painted the exhaust manifolds
with 1500 degree VHT silver paint. Show quality... very nice!

Now this nice looking engine is really going to make the rest of my rusty
truck look like s**t. But the day will come when that gets addressed and
fixed too.
