Dan, My honest opinion: take the power antenna out & throw it in the trash! Maybe it's just the bad luck of my family, but it seems that all power antennas fail after not-enough time. So since you're going at it now - a good old standard antenna would be my choice. Sorry - this probably doesn't help much. Joe Costanzo '79 Scout II
