i misunderstood, I still think it was a cool fix, even if they are available.  I have trouble getting thermostats for my scouts, never mind a little interior part.
On that note, I did find a solution for the thermostat problem that people may or may not know.  Its an older Chrysler (sp?) part.  A mid '70s Dodge pickup w/440 will work, at least the pin head at the counter doesn't say, "A what?!?!?".
