Points, Dwell???

The truck is running great, new shocks went in Sat night.  It rides and runs like a showroom rig.
I still don't know about the dwell of the points though.  If anyone knows what it is supposed to be, I would appreciate it.  As of now I have 28 degrees of dwell and maybe .050 point gap (a guess) I just set it where it "looked good".
Oh, and 10 BTDC, haven't turned it back to 8, I still get A little pinging.
