Tom's Axles Q's...

Tom,

        The J10 axles should be about 4" wider track than your T'all axles. I
believe that the factory J10 axles are wider and required flares on the fenders
from the factory. The 6-lug axles sure sound like GM style. You may want to go
with the slightly heavier (Heavy Half Ton) GM 12 bolt corporate axle, and D44
front. Then again, why not try a 3/4T setup with Corp 14 bolt rear, and
D44/D60? 35 spline in front? Could you swap in the Scout hubs assemblies and
have a 3/4T 5-bolt 5.5" Scout rim setup?  With the 3/4T 8bolts you get 16" rims.
 More hotter better faster stronger, we can rebuild him. Cost: $6 Million.

Problem: <snip>
I'll call on a set of '77 Jeep J10 Dana 44s I own at least half of that
are in Bozeman tomorrow.. 4.10 6-lugs.. they'd be GREAT and should be
narrower than the T'all rear axle I already have.
<snip>
Any problems with a narrow front and wide rear axle?
