"Bad"

I got my new carb from Super Scout yesterday. Today I put it on. It is a
4160? 2 barrel, it looks just like the 2300 series except the fuel inlet
is on the oposite side, doh! That wasn't really a problem, but; I'm back
to square one now with my choke. This choke is located on the passenger
side, same as the 2210 that I had on there before this. The original
carb was a 2300 with the choke on the drivers side. Now my cable is too
short. I don't wan't to swap out the stock cable/knob assemble for an
aftermarket one because I like the match set of knobs.
Also, I haven't checked anything else about this problem, so; give me a
break, but; When I try to start the truck it cranks really slow and
labored, even while jumpng it with Ugly. Because it is cranking so slow
it has a hard time firing over. What could cause that?
BAD ran really good with the new carb on him. I didn't adjust anything
on it, just dropped it on and started it. Of course I only went around
the block, and didn't get it over 35 MPH.
