Re: My Scout & Trailers

I've gotta say, dude, this is a bad idea.

Ever watch a trailer seperate from it's tow rig? That tounge drops to the
ground and sparks start going everywhere. In combination with a recently
ripped off fuel line, it's be cool to watch from a distance. However, people
close to it (including yourself) might not get a kick out of an IHC firebomb
trailer.

I might just put a filler nozzle pump on it and fill manually.

Or, if you're really set on the fuel transfer line, go with a "pintle hook"
system. You see them on military vehicles and combination dump trucks. It's
a hoop on the trailer side and a 3/4 circle on the vehicle side. A piece
drops down and blocks the remaing 1/4 opening. The locking mechanism is much
more sturdy. However, it doesn't lend itself to loadleveler bars or straight
tracking with crooked trailers like a fixed ball does. It will give your
trailer some kick ass articulation on the trail.
