My master cylinder

I didn't get to replacing my MC this weekend. But, I have noticed that
the bleed down has gone away. In fact today the pedal has been harder
than it has been in a long time. It is raining today and I was wondering
if perhaps the power booster isn't the problem? I have a very
inconsistant pedal pressure for a while. I don't have a vacumn gauge, I
guess I should buy one, but; could the wet weather be making my engine
run with a higher vacumn then normal? My booster is taking the vacumn
right off the intake manifold, behind the carb on the number 8 cylinder
branch of the intake.
