I have a Quadrajet on my 392 in my Scout II '78. I works greate,the only
thing to look out for is that you get a carb with a side inlet for the
fuel,the straight one will not clear the termostat housing. My quadrajet is
from a 1984 Chevy van with a 305,but it's rated at 650 cfm, more than
enough for the IH engines
