5 speed length

Darrel:
  I'm not sure about the Clark, I seem to remember that Peterson's
atricle stating it was similar to an NV-4500. I have the article around
someplace and can dig it up if you want me to check. I measured
my IHC 5 speed (T-34) and bellhousing:
Bellhousing = 9"
Tranny (bellhousing to center of u-joint cup) = 16-3/4"
Total from rear block surface to center of u-joint
cup 25-3/4".

Now, if you got a divorced t-case and could mount it directly to
the same u-joint (no driveline between them) the setup might be
short enough to work in a Scout. I just don't know how you
could get the t-case lined up with enough accuracy.

For a Clark 5 speed, I think those can be found in some S- Series?

Good Luck
