Speedo cable

Take the cable assembly (unscrew both ends, make sure you get the floating
tip out of the speedo head) to the local parts shop. You may be able to buy
just the inner coil; clean & lube your outer cable.
Be sure to route it same way as it came out, avoid kinking or tight bends.
