Alan, You should be able to adjust your tuning knobs to match the opening width. If you look at the base of the threaded stem you should see a typ of "clamp" held on at the base with a nut. If you loosen this nut the entire shaft can be repositioned with the locking holes in the body of the radio. ...it sounds worse that it is... Gary
