Are you going to do all the work yourself?
If not, it will be much cheaper to sell your current car and buy a 5 speed.

On the other hand, if you are undertaking this project just for kicks or to
learn how to work on your car, by all means, have fun and take lots of
pictures. Also search the net for others who had done something similar
before.
