re:the new 7 design - opinions?

New BMW stylings usually don't grab me either.  At first glance its
difficult to distinguish from the 5 - seems like its the same size.
The Lexius/Infinity look could be because those brands have sold a lot
of cars to previous/potential BMW customers
in this area (N. Calif.).
The "all cars look alike" is partially due to the need to satisfy
government fuel economy standards and the laws of aerodynamics
which force designers toward soft edges and bulbous forms.
