Crazy Gong

I have a 1991 318i. For several weeks the gong sounds sometimes while I 
am driving with my seat belt fastened. This problem may be due to a 
faulty sensor in the driver's seat?

Is there an easy way to disable the gong? I don't want to replace it. I 
can't pull its fuse because it is used for other things.
