Michel,
Not exactly.
The points from the BMW credit card are accumulated IFF you sign up for the
optional $50/year program. 
Even then the points can only be redeemed for discounts on BMW Lease rates
or extra penalty-free miles on those leases. Recently they added conversion
of points into airline miles and lifestyle trinkets.
Unless you lease your bimmers, the BMW credit card benefits are not worth
the price of entry.
