spark plugs

Can anyone give me any insight on this? I had the OEM spark plugs in my '95 
M3 since I first had the car and i figured I would upgrade to the bosch 
platinum 4's hoping to somehow improve performance. But instead it seems 
that I have lost some power since putting in the bosh plat 4. Now I seem to 
have a flat spot when I hit the gas. I thought these spark plugs are 
supposed to be better than the oem.
Also, is there any special programming that has to be done to the jim c chip 
to accomadate these spark plugs(plat 4) so that they are used more 
effeciently?
