RE: Tramlining with 17's

I looked online for a technical definition of tramlining and failed. My
understanding is it is a condition that causes your car to be very sensitive
to irregularities in the road. It will follow ruts like crazy. In bad
cases it can require steering corrections for ruts you can't even see. It
can be affected by things like tire pressure, alignment, tire design,
wheel/tire size (width especially?) and other suspension setup issues.

Guys,

Pardon my ignorance but what does Tramlining mean? I own a 94 e36 and i
have had 17" momo sports with good year tires for over a year and i haven't
noticed anything wrong with it....
