lighten flywheel on my eta 325-how/should I???

hi all,

I ran over some debris on Highway 5 on my way to the CES show in Vegas on
Friday, and it put a hole in the 5 speed transmission on my 1986 325. Now
that Performance Motor Works in Rocklin is going to swap out my trans and
check my clutch, I thought it might be a good time to have my flywheel
machined to remove some weight. I've done everything else on this car short
of the "i" cam setup, and I'm happy with it, but I'd like to gain a bit of
throttle response and acceleration. I need to figure this out shortly, so
any responses are much appreciated on how this is done, and the benefits
anyone has experienced. I understand that revs will drop more rapidly
between shifts, and I don't want to alter the car "much", but if there's
something to be gained without losing anything else, I'm all for it.

TIA!
