Shimmy problem

I have been having a problem with my car that is driving me crazy. (1996 328iS, running stock 16" wheels with V rated Yoko's) I never had the problem
until my car got a front flat--simple nail, I had the flat fixed and the tires balanced. After this I discovered even though I told them not too the
company had rotated them as well. Since it is a pain to go back to the shop I unrotated them myself. The car still shimmied at certain speeds and got
them to re-balance them. The car was ok for a couple of weeks and then it came back-the shimmy. I then had the tires balanced again and again about a
week later the car shimmies at certain speeds. (Noticeable at about 40 and 90) I have even kept my tire pressure lower than normal (At BMW specs in lieu
of tire maker specs--like 32 instead of 41psi) I am getting ready to take her in again for tire balance. Any ideas on what I can look for that is
causing this?? This is getting to be a real headache and while with the local road conditions I don't expect a balance to last forever this is getting
ridiculous. Any one with ideas would be greatly appreciated! Hurry before I go look at the Ford Lightning as a replacement, sure the gas mileage is bad
but with the money I save in tire balancing I might be breaking even. Thanks for the help.
