M3 purchase info

I'm sure this is a commonly asked question, but I couldn't find anything in the archives.  I'm looking to purchase a 96-98 M3 and I'd like to find some information on the different options that come on the stock/luxury/sport packages as well as the different wheel styles.  Any other suggestions on what to look for would also be appreciated.
