a common source for water in the trunk is faulty tail lens gaskets. they may
or may not need to be replaced. remove the lamp housing where all the bulbs
are held and try tightening the 6-8 small nuts that hold the lens to the car.
if these are loose enough water can work its way into the trunk, even if the
seal is good. if this doesn't solve the problem, replace the gasket. they
cost around $15 from the dealer.
