Well, I didn't have anyone watching from outside the car, so I can't say for
_certain_ if they locked up 100% or were just turning very slowly, but my
intent was to test the ABS, so I really laid into the brakes and didn't let
off when I initially heard/felt the tires slide. The car left ~20 feet of
rubber on the road before I finally let off, not wanting to flat spot my
tires. There was a fair bit of tire smoke too. I never felt the pedal pulse
which I'd expect to feel if the ABS engaged. I started braking ~45mph, FWIW.

Did BMW use 2, 3, or 4 channel ABS on this car ('86 528e)?
