Do they lock up fully? or do they just skid a bit?
I used to have a 1997 Holden (Opel) Vectra with traction control and abs. I
was going around a corner at 110km/h and saw where I wanted to turn. I
pulled into the next driveway under full breaks, and managed to leave black
streaks across the highway. A good ABS system will allow a slight amount of
"slide" - it helps a lot in gravel.
