JimC + bad 02 sensor?

Should I fix the o2 sensor before I invest in a quality
JimC perf chip for my '91 E30,M42 318i 4dr?  I have 90K
miles on the car.  Is it a bad idea to add the chip at 
such a late time?

Now that I have mentioned it, are there any service problems
I should be on the lookout for at this milage?
