Recommended tires for 318is?

My '96 318is is about due for new rubber. I know zip about tires, other
than that it's running on 15" Pirellis at present. Can anyone comment on
what's best? Road conditions: rural tarseal; wet and dry, and in winter
some heavy frost patches. Speeds: boring, I know, but I'm not a
boy-racer - typically suburban and highway speeds to about 80mph.

Any advice appreciated.
