Question for all M50 owners

Antony,
This phenomenon use to happen on my M52 equipped 320i. I switched
back to the original spark plugs (from the Beru Silverstones) and the
problem went away. Might also wanna replace the fuel filter or have the
fuel injectors cleaned. Hope this helps.
