COMSCC is a 41 year old club that runs driver's schools (reputable ones) and
time trials on tracks in the northeastern US. The format is usually a
Saturday driver's school (Mix of classroom and a lot of on-track time with an
Instructor accompanying you) and a Sunday time trial (practice sessions until
about 1PM then timed flying laps with the times compared to other cars in
your class). The time trials are done so that there is no fender-to-fender
racing. The driver's schools have controlled passing and corner workers /
rescue services are present throughout the weekend for safety.
There are usually 50-120 registrants / event, and I usually roll up about 120
miles of track time per weekend. The cost is under $200 for both days, but
you must be a member of COMSCC ($25 fee) to play. If you are interested take
a look at the web site - www.camilleon.com/~comscc/index.shtml
There's an undersubscribed event in Mosport 4/17 - 4/18 if you are
interested. We have 20-30 openings... Thanks for any interest. See you
there?
Oh, yeah - I'm Chief Instructor and COMSCC stands for Corvettes (sorry) of
Massachusetts Sports Car Club. I drive a 1998 M3/4 in the events and there
are lots of other BMWs. Join us.
