I would like to run 255-40 tires on 17" rims on my 5. What wheel width
would suit an R-compound tire in that tread width? Is there an offset that
I can run on both the front and back of the car? If not, what is the ideal
offset to use assuming that I will have to run a spacer in the front?
Yes, I realize that I will have to flare the rear fender because "rolling"
the lip will not be enough. Yes, I realize that I might have to grind the
rear trailing arms to clear the inner edge of the rim. Yes, I promise to
respond to any questions about MAF conversions, G-tech Pro's, Bolivian food
storage jars, and my shoe size with private e-mail so as to avoid further
WOB. Hmmm.... The ability to self-publish any wild-assed opinion truly
corrupts.
