Unless you underinflate the tires it will wear out the center section much
earlier and you'll have less grip than the tires the rim design calls for.
Underinflation will wear out your tires too and make for bad cornering.
So: unless you use a wider rim and double-check clearance of the tire in the
wheel well, it would not be smart.
