Can E-34 rear wheels be aligned?

My (old) technician claimed that every e34 he ever worked on had rear tires
that were not aligned properly.  Unfortunatlely I couldn't tell you exactly
why, except he indicated that it was not really adjustable, and was a
factory problem.   He did close by saying that it didn't seem to impact
rear tire way significanltly.
