e34 front end squeak

My -89 e34 525i makes strange squeak-squeak noise at cold weather
(must be at least a few degrees below). The noise occurs after the
car has been sitting several hours and goes away after a few miles.
Strangely, it takes about half a mile after start-up before it starts.
The pitch stays the same irrespective of the speed but the squeaking
comes a bit louder and almost continuous as the speed increases. It 
seems to come from the front end passenger's side. The source of the 
noise cannot be located by swinging the car or by any similar method
when not moving. All suspension components are visibly OK and work
well.

Any thoughts?
