Two words: Profile Gasket

I know this subject has been beaten to death, but want to get the latest info
and experiences.  I figure if your reading this, you probably have a vested
interest in the 
problem.  I have read all I could find in archives and FAQ's and want to get
all my ducks in a row before dealing with the subject (repair).  I noticed
today a 5x5 puddle in the garage under right side of eng. bay.  It appears
leak is on front-right of engine right above AC compressor.  P-gasket, right?
BTW, my car is a '91 318is w/ 57,xxx miles.  I was fully aware of potential
problem when I bought the car, so I have been on the lookout for the
situation.  Does this appear to be a slow-leak variety as opposed to the
catastrophic failure?  I am seeking info from people who have recently dealt
with the problem and what exp. w/ dealers they might have had since most of
the info archived is from '96.  Feel free to email me directly so as not to
tie up the digest with this tired old thread.
