James asks about 520i and 325iSE

The 520i (I for injection) has been available for several series in the UK.

The first was the 4-pot engine from the 2002, but with a pair of stromberg(I
think) carbs. A real bu**er to set up, and very expensive to replace when
the throttle spindles wore out.

Then from the 2nd 5 series, the 520 was always a 6 cyl (M20?) with carb. at
first, but then moving to injection. (As you can see, I'm a klutz when it
comes to E-numbers for 5's)

The 325iSE (like mine) is a 325i plus Special Equipment(that's the SE bit).
A sort of lux pack. Leather, OBC, electric windows all round, electric roof,
alloys, heated mirrors and washers, headlamp washers, intensive wash. But
you still had to pay more for a/c in the UK.
