The 3.4 liter motor is generally referred to as "bullet-proof" and 200K
miles are not unusual.=A0 It's also often referred to as the best =

ever made for a production car.=A0 Outside of the engine,and maybe gear
ratios, the two cars are virtually identical (except wheel style).=A0 =
Can't
speak for maintenance having only owned my '90 535i for 3 months (105K
miles), but the previous owner's maintenance records for the 1st 100K =
miles
look reasonable.
