E39 wheels will fit but you need an insert for the hub ring.
BMW wheels are hub-centric and must mate with the ring on
the hub. E39 wheels have a smaller diameter hub I'm told.
Personally I think E39 wheels look too modern for an E28,
get some cross spokes from an E34.
