Mounting a V-1

So I finally broke down and bought a V-1.  All these posts about getting 
tickets and trying to get out of tickets finally convinced me that it 
was time to get a new fuzz buster.  Actually it was that and the fact 
that my last one was taken away during a brief excursion into Canada.

Anyway, on the e-36 homepage there is a brief discussion on mounting 
tips of the V-1, but the post seemed data(not really laser considerate).

So, what are the preferred spots for mounting a V-1?  With and without 
hardwiring?
