The overrev will blow your warranty.. a simple compression test on each
cylinder will tell the tale.. no need for a dealer on this one...
You'll most likely find one or two cylinders with less compression than
all the rest, indicative of a bent valve or two..
It takes even less with a 325i than an M3 since the 325i has weaker
valve springs (and hence valves float easier)..
This is the reason why my chip has a 6800 rpm redline vs. other
people who use 7000 or higher..

PS: If oil changes are causing "loss of performance" you should be
looking for an air leak that the oil change caused, like a faulty
dipstick or oilcap seal.
