If you're looking strictly at a comfort/fatigue factor, then I'd agree.
However, the 20 minutes of track session is not nearly as important as
the 20 milliseconds of impact when your non-strapped-in head wants to
separate from your strapped in body. If it feels only a few g, it
probably doesn't matter. If you go in real hard, 20-30... maybe 50+
momentary g in a really high speed situation, the lower weight on your
shoulders becomes more and more important. A few (and perhaps very many)
pounds of reduced force might mean the difference between walking away
and having a broken neck.

Still, it's very much a cost/benefit thing. I wouldn't have purchased a
Kevlar unit if Frank M. hadn't arranged a very good deal for us from OG
Racing. I am glad I have one as well as a neck collar. I'm also one
who's made a complete 180 on this issue since two years ago. I went from
an M90 to a very expensive SA95 Kevlar helmet. I guess seeing a few
wrecks at the track makes you reconsider.
