Your best idea is to buy the 1:18 model and take it apart.
Once the body is stripped down spray paint it with a can of
BMW spray paint and then clearcoat. Buy a few cheap model
cars to experiment on, spray painting isn't rocket science
but it IS an aquired skill. I've done small amounts of
spraying models for three years and am still not perfect,
acceptable though. Rubbing down LIGHTLY with 1000 grit wet
and dry paper will help the paint adhere. 9/10ths of
spraying is correct surface preparation.
