6 speed for 95 E36 M3

I am interested in replacing the 5 speed in my car. I have seen these advertised
for about $6k (including conversion kit). Can anyone tell me the part number and
a the best place to buy it?

In the standard 6 speed gearbox, top gear has a 0.8 ratio; which would work well
with the 3:45 final drive on my car. Do I need to worry about avoiding a close
ratio version with a 6th gear ratio of 1.0?

I upgraded my 74 tii to a 5 speed. Is the M3 transmission upgrade much more
difficult? 

Will the DME deal with a 6th gear input from the transmission without having
convulsions?
