I hate to butt heads with you Phil, but this is not always the case.  We just
parted an '85 635csi automatic car with the standard seats.  We also parted an
'86 635csi with the "sport seats".  Now, I wouldn't place a *lot* of money on it
because I wasn't looking at window stickers and options for these cars when they
were new, but I believe the sport seats came in every 6er as an available
option.  I've never personally seen them in the '88 or '89 cars though.  Anyone
with a later model E24 want to comment on their seat style?
