Thanks Marty, I am hoping that it is something else. I talked
to my mech yesterday and he seemed to think that blowing the 
system with compressed air would have gotten rid of the particles
as he did find some debris when he removed the old expansion
valve and then blew compressed air through the system before
replacing it.

When you say flushed out, do you mean using a chemical solution 
ie liquid as opposed to compressed air ?

He had said that the next step would be to use a chemical solution
that would hopefully clean out anything thats causing the problem.
In the meantime my a/c remains turned off so as not to have any
possible debris going through and causing some problems.

Mike it sounds like metal particles from the old compressor blocking the
expansion valve, System should have been flushed out before replacing the
compressor.
