I can't help for the air bag, but if it's the first time you remove a E30
steering wheel, after removing the center nut,don't forget to insert your
key and turn it one step to unlock the steering. The way the steering
locking mechanism is made on these cars  prevents the steering to be pulled
out from the shaft when in locked position, not like american and japaneese
cars. Ask me how I know :-)

I need to remove steering wheel w/air bag from 90 325i for instrument panel

access. Bentley manual says don't attempt it, take to dealer. Surely there
must
be a way to safely remove the steering wheel without having to take it to a

dealer. I would be much obliged for instructions. Thanks.
