[alfa] Re: Row over steering
I've been interested in the debates this week about hand-over-hand vs
push-pull steering.
This has caused me to re-analyse my steering habits, so much of which have
become automatic. I use hand-over hand at low speed, (eg pulling in to or
out of driveways, negotiating tight roundabouts, getting the
huge-turning-circle 164 into the very tight car park at the office). Once
the car is moving, I default to push-pull.
This morning driving to work, I exclusively used push-pull. This didn't
seem as smooth as hand-over hand in tight situations, although this is
probably as much due to lack of practice as anything.
Is the judicious combination of the two methods valid, or am I still better
to exclusively adopt push-pull?
Cheers,
