RE: Re: [alfa] V6 Alfetta sedan for sale

I know of at least one person who bolted a V6 into an Alfetta coupe, very
little effort involved other than headers/exhaust, wiring, ecu, etc.

Some comments within:

Why don't the motor mounts work? The mounting points on the block appear to
be the same between the 4 and the six. If you can bolt a 6 into an Alfetta
coupe using Alfetta mounts, why wouldn't the same apply to the sedan?

What's the advantage of the Alfa 90 drive line?

I'd disagree wrt them being required. Certainly worth doing, but not
required, imo. The real modification, again imo, would be to update to the
stiffer springs, torsion bars, and sway bars, so as to account for the
increased weight of the motor.

Agreed.

Again, I know of one individual who popped a 2.5 into an Alfetta coupe in
the early 80's. He carried over things such as headers/downpipes, engine
wiring, etc, but the rest of the mechanicals worked just fine.
