Re: [alfa] Fitting 164 Engine Into a Milano - Advice Needed

I have fitted a 164 motor into my Alfetta sedan. You need many parts from an
alfa 75 wich you have. Its a big job and would be easier to fit a 3.0lt from
a rear wheel drive car. It wont run correctly with the 2.5 ecu however the
motronic system is very complicated. Save your self the pain and buy a
aftermarket ecu. You can get rid of the afm and gain some power at the same
time.
Your engine swap should be a lot easier due to the fact that you car is
already a V6. Mine had a 2lt and required many mods. Result, the car is
fast! Be aware that the 3.0lt does not sound as sweet as the 2.5. Its rather
more gruff.
Cheers,
Dean
