RE: [alfa] 2000 Manifold Nuts
David Willis asked:
"My CarDisc parts manual for 2000 Spider Veloce lists 4(count them!)4 part
numbers for the '8 x 1 mm' nuts holding the manifolds to the cylinder head
[...]
I have brass, which only fit the exhaust studs; and steel, which fit nothing.
It's been many years since I took this apart. None of my 4(count them!)4
shop manuals help. Can you? What about new nylocs, at least on the intake
side?"
Standard M8F (fine pitch) are all that are required for a Euro intake
manifold.
Standard M8F brass should be used on the exhaust (unless you can find an M8F
that will take a 12mm spanner).
I have no knowledge of Spica, so if it takes something different, I can't
help you.
