[alfa] Help! 1991 164 steering rack

Hello alfa fans,



Last night as I was driving home in about 10 degrees F, I suddenly heard
a gurgling

sound coming from the engine compartment before I lost the power
steering assist.

The noise was coming from the reservoir for the power steering which was
completely empty.  It seems as if it lost fluid

Instantly, even though the fluid never hit the ground.  I suspect it is
sitting in the rack's boots.

Did anybody have this experience?  If the rack is leaking fluind in the
boots is there a way to repair it?

Since I need the car badly, I have to find either a way to repair it or
replace it this weekend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
